A big thank-you to Santa Rosa Alliance Church for letting us use their facility and helping us clean up. We had close to 200 people enjoying the music, chatting with the bands and tearing into the birthday pinatas!! The bands were great. Our opening band, The Author, is a new local band..did a great show so expect to hear more from them in the future. The others were excellent as well, even though van problems and traffic trials delayed them a bit, it didn't seem to effect their energy level or performance. Check out Causing a Scene for more local Christian concerts coming your way next week!

Can you believe Broken has been on the air for one year? We have learned alot, met alot of awesome bands and listeners and are excited about what this year will bring. We still have much to learn, so we'd love to hear from fans and foes, so we can make this 'YOUR' favorite station! We hope to see you all at our upcoming concert. Check out these bands on Myspace and you will want to come and hear them, and you can even chat with them after their performance.

Edison Glass: Time is Fiction

Edison Glass is a band that has been pushing the boundaries of indie and alt rock for a while. Grabbing what you think you know about what rock and hurling it out the window. The only excuse not to like this band is not hearing them before.

Coming from Coram, Long Island, New York, Edison Glass is using their widely diverse backgrounds and influences to bring creativity back into a scene in desperate need. The 4 members have been a band since 1998 but have been friends for most of their lives. What makes them so unique is the amount of creative musicality. What i mean is they use progressions and riffs that are heard in completely opposite of them and make them work. They use time signatures rarely used and vocal techniques not often heard and make something fresh. While the music sounds odd and complicated at first, there is still the sense of catchiness that grabs your ear and doesn't let it go.

This CD is one of my favorites and I'm so thankful for Nick Weil for showing me this band. Music listeners, grab this if you are tired of all the same pop rock bands of today. Musicians, pick up this CD and be inspired to make some new and unique. Bottom line, get this CD.
